How did holistic skincare come into my life?
Of course, it all began with a problem I noticed on my skin, which was nothing other than the result of my previous bad habits.
Because what we do today will determine our future, and this applies to every aspect of life, whether we like it or not, good or bad habits alike.
Now let's look at what were those bad habits that it's better for you to stop
I didn’t use skincare products that were suitable for MY skin, but rather what worked for someone else, whose skin type or issues I didn’t even know
- I didn’t check the ingredients of the skincare products, so often I used ones that were full of harmful substances
- I ignored that the RIGHT nutrition and adequate intake of quality and quantity of fluids (clean, pure water) greatly affects the condition of my skin, so it needs to be nourished and hydrated from the inside out first, as everything comes from within
I ignored that my mental/emotional state greatly influences the condition of my skin
I DIDN’T use sunscreen, which was a huge mistake that caused a lot of damage
I constantly furrowed my brow, didn’t pay attention to my posture, and constantly looked down while talking/texting on the phone, which caused wrinkles and sagging
I neglected my neck in my already poor skincare routine
- I didn’t relax the tense muscles in my neck/back/shoulders, and I didn’t remove excess fluid from my facial skin
I didn’t have a facial massage/Gua Sha routine
This was the starting point I wanted to change, and as you can see, successfully:
- forehead wrinkles, double chin, smile lines, dark circles under the eyes, puffy/dull/lifeless skin
It was never a question for me that I wanted to find a natural solution to my problems that would not only address the issues but also support the beauty and health of my skin in the long term. My initial plan faced setbacks because everywhere I turned, I encountered information suggesting that wrinkles couldn’t be treated or that only botox or other artificial methods could help. The same was said about eliminating double chin; there was a misconception that it was solely caused by excess weight and could only be addressed artificially. However, I refused to believe that, and my search continued until I encountered various natural methods during my trip to China, all rooted in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). I was amazed by the plethora of fantastic methods that Chinese women used daily for their beauty. I decided I needed to learn more about these methods to apply them myself and share them with others back home.
Seeing these methods work firsthand was truly awe-inspiring, and it solidified my determination to introduce them to women in my home country. Since then, I’ve learned so much, and I continue to learn, discovering the abundance of traditional and natural methods we can use to preserve our health and beauty. I now understand that beauty care goes beyond external treatments; it requires a holistic approach to address and prevent issues effectively.
Today, I cannot help but view beauty care, health preservation, and even the individual holistically. That’s the secret.
